History

Restaurant Garden is run by Marie and Adrian, who met at the Copenhagen food scene. With a shared passion for good food made from scratch, in 2017 they decided to open their first restaurant together. Food has always been at the center of Marie’s life. Ever since she was little girl, she has been picking vegetables and herbs in the garden on the family farm on Funen and preparing the fresh ingredients with the rest of the family. It is this mood of enjoying a moment with people you love that Adrian and Marie want to pass on to their guests.

Today, the family farm supplies raw materials to the restaurant in the form of freshly dug Danish potatoes and vegetables, which Adrian and Marie also pickle themselves, just as the flowers on the tables are from there. As a small curiosum, the family farm also delivers to Amalienborg, so at Restaurant Garden you may eat the same new potatoes as the Queen.

Focus on the family

The family is a big part of Restaurant Garden. Both Adrian’s mother, Marie’s mother and stepfather help in the restaurant, while Marie’s father has created the unique tables in the restaurant. As a guest you clearly notice this special atmosphere that a family run restaurant creates.
